The Town Museum
The Museum is housed in the eighteenth-century building that belonged to the Lepri family, formerly the municipal seat, and consists of an archaeological section and the art gallery, with works of art from town churches and the nearby area.
Some of the most remarkable works on display come from the town and local churches: Adorazione dei Magi by Corrado Giaquinto, the Madonna col Bambino by Dono Doni and works by the Bevanati artists Ascensidonio Spacca known as the Fantino (Cassa del beato Giacomo and Madonna di Costantinopoli) and Andrea Camassei (above all L’immacolata Concezione, the subject of a recent and precious restoration).
The archaeological collection includes artifacts from the Archaic to the Imperial age that make the archaeological collection even richer. The collection is walled up along the stairs of the building, documenting the importance of the ancient Roman town hall.
