Museum Complex of San Francesco
The Museum of San Francescois charcaterised by the stunning frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli, who made decorated the chapel of San Girolamo and the apse of the church bearing the same name.
His Stories from the life of St. Francis (1452) are among the most important Renaissance cycles preserved. Along the way, precious art collections are arranged around this cultural center: the art gallery, the crypt with the ancient cellars of the minor friars, the section of archaeological finds and stone fragments and, finally, the area dedicated to contemporary art exhibitions.
